DEWALT DWFP55130 Heavy Duty 200 PSI Quiet Trim Compressor
The DEWALT 200 psi quiet trim compressor features a 2.5 gallon, 200 psi max tank, and delivers 3.0 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) at 90 pounds per square inch (tested per ISO1217). This power allows the compressor to fire many nails with a quick recovery time. The durable, oil-free pump provides maintenance-free operation. Jobsites can already be loud enough, so DEWALT has engineered the compressor to have an incredibly low 71.5 dB operating noise level (tested per ISO3744). The efficient motor only draws 12 amps, providing easy start-up and reducing the possibility of tripping a breaker. Measuring only 14 inches wide and weighing only 36 pounds, this compressor is compact and portable. The roll cage design creates a convenient and comfortable handle for transportation, storage, and protection. The shroud has a cord wrap for easy storage and the tank has a ball drain valve for quick and thorough tank draining.

Performance
At 3.0 scfm, the pump recharges the tank at a 15% faster rate than most traditional pancake compressors. The tank operates at 200 max psi and this higher pressure provides a greater amount of stored air allowing more work to be done . Additionally, the compressor begins recharging the tank when the tank pressure drops below 165 psi, providing a greater buffer and ensuring users won’t run out of air. Also, the motor has been designed with high torque for easy start up, allowing the compressor to start below 0-degrees Fahrenheit, or to run on an extension cord (12 gauge, up to 50 feet) and will not kick circuit breakers.
Low Noise
Trim compressors are used primarily indoors. This compressor features 7 patents (pending), several to reduce the noise. At only 71.5 decibels, it is 50% quieter than most pancake compressors. The lower noise allows the user to comfortably operate the compressor indoors while still being able to have a conversation with other workers.
Protection and Portability
The DEWALT quiet trim compressor’s roll cage has been designed to maximize protection and portability. The roll cage protects the compressors vital components from damage, while the controls are inset from the frame to assure they don’t get exposed to job site abuse. The smooth sides and handle allow it to rest only 4 inches from your side when carrying it, so at only 36 lbs, it is easy to carry to and from the work site comfortably.
Design Configuration
The DEWALT quiet trim compressor has been designed to be operated or stored in the horizontal or vertical position. The horizontal orientation allows for a lower center of gravity and vertical for easy pickup height or when floor space is at a premium. In storing the compressor, users can now choose a narrow footprint in the vertical orientation or a more stable horizontal orientation to allow other materials be stacked on top of it, maximizing efficiency.
